The all-new Ford GT supercar is an ultra-high-performance, rear-wheel drive, carbon-fiber two-door coupe powered by a mid-mounted, twin-turbocharged EcoBoost® V-6 engine (the most powerful EcoBoost® ever produced by the way), and represents the pinnacle of the Ford Performance group as a showcase for Ford innovation and expertise in aerodynamics, lightweight construction and connected car technology.
An active rear spoiler that is keyed to both speed and driver input, as well as a a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle (that should offer near-instantaneous gear changes) ensure that handling will never be a problem even at top speeds. The entire car has been designed with aerodynamics, balance, performance, safety and efficiency in mind.
This supercar gets more than 600 horsepower and is frankly the most beautiful thing you’re likely to see on the road for a long time. CNET has called the car stunning and said “the new GT is radically more dramatically cut than its predecessor…showing just how tightly that EcoBoost V-6 is packaged.”
However, you will be lucky to see it on the road at all. The new GT is bound to be one of the most sought-after cars in a generation due to a limited production line of only 250 per year and is to be paired with a roughly $400,000 price tag according to an article by USA Today.
The All-New Ford GT is set to launch in 2016.
